True story, based on how literal us 'Muricans are. Some years back I was in a slightly high-end tap room and whiskey bar, and my dad was buying, so I started with a Laphraoig 18 (which, BTW, I believe is the Christian definition of "heaven.") Well, in my elitist way I took great pains to say the name "Laphroig" correctly... and the bartender had no idea about what I was talking until I attempted to render the name phonetically.
