This seems to be a particular problem with American politicians - they can't cope with people who refuse to cow-tow to them. The best example I've seen of this was when George Galloway was testifying to sme Congressional committee. Rather than bow and scrape to the panel as they evidently expected him to, he went for the jugular, and they didn't have the faintest idea of how to deal with him.Mikey wrote:Hell, I personally was forcibly removed from a seminar with a Republican congressman when I was a teenager because I refused to let a matter rest when he consistently avoided answering a question of mine.
CNN reported it first not FOX and CNN is probably the least bias out of the three major cable news networks. Yep, it's a bit different over here. We have Parliament when you get Labour and the Torries hurling insults and shouting at each other. In the US it's just boring - I've actually heard a few Americans say how much more they'd prefer the English system of PM's Questions and the likeCaptain Seafort wrote:This seems to be a particular problem with American politicians - they can't cope with people who refuse to cow-tow to them. We have that too - it's called "campaigning."Thorin wrote:We have Parliament when you get Labour and the Torries hurling insults and shouting at each other.
Meh. I'd rather have a duma than that.I've actually heard a few Americans say how much more they'd prefer the English system of PM's Questions and the like
America used to have that happen in congress.Tsukiyumi wrote:I love the vids of Asian government officials attacking each other in session. Awesome. I'll see if I can't find a few examples.
