As good as ever. Although I must admit to having a soft spot for the slow tour around the refitted Enterprise.

Same here. Quite an impactful scene.Captain Seafort wrote:Although I must admit to having a soft spot for the slow tour around the refitted Enterprise.

The disco inferno bit with Bones was pretty awesome, "staff of ra around his neck".

He's bang on with the uniforms as well, I mean the shirts don't look too bad and would be OK if they were coupled with a proper set of pants/boots but the unitards actually look worse then the TNG jammies. They should have kept the watch/communicator as well.

Re: SFDebris Tackles Star Trek: The Motionless Picture
I recently got to watch the directors cut and I must admit I did quite like it. I don't know how many scenes where cut (I didn't miss any) yet for some reason, altough still slow paced which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I didn't find it quite as boring as I remembered it.
Maybe one needs a certain age to enjoy such a film yet while I still havent managed to sit through 2001 Space Odyssey (always fell asleep around the moon chapter)I do find this movie quite entertaining for what it is.
The refitted Enterprise never looked so grand and beautiful again and strangly this is the only Trek movie with the certain "alien" feel to it. Vger is a very effective alien, much more threatening than the whale probe for instance.

Now this I agree with wholeheartedly. This was really one of the few times Trek has managed to pull off the alien thing.Atekimogus wrote:The refitted Enterprise never looked so grand and beautiful again and strangly this is the only Trek movie with the certain "alien" feel to it. Which seems strange imho given the whole premise of "boldly going where noone etc."

Ironic, since the entire premise was lifted from a TOS ep.Tyyr wrote:This was really one of the few times Trek has managed to pull off the alien thing.

God this movie is horrible.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

And he makes fun of it so well, sooner or later I plan on donating to him, since he does such a great job entertaining, and does it all for free.
