22nd Century. Who seems to be the most likely winner?

Given that we've precisely no solid numbers on either side's fleet numbers, industrial capacity or their relative technology levels, there's no way to figure this out.

You'd need far more detail to be sure of this. you need a set scenario, since there is little detail on either, you need to extrapolate some decent figures from a best estimate of appearances. you cant just ask this, cause its purely opinion. You need to provide detail about what we are actually talking about.

Agreed. One-on-one, a Vulcan ship would probably win - they're bigger, faster, and generally more advanced then the Klingons. However, without information on the strength of the Klingon fleet, even a rough guess at the outcome of a war would be impossible.

Comparing a Vulcan D'kyr, the most common type, vs. the Early Bird of prey, the most common klingon type.

Then the Vulcan's win outright one on one. The shielding is almost 230,000 terrawatts superior on the D'Kyr, and the weapons outfit is more powerful. The Klingon ship is probably more maneuverable but The Vulcan's technological superiority would likely make that a slight advantage if any at all.

Even the D-5 class cruisers dont compare to the D'Kyr. And these appear to be one of the mainstay ships of the fleet. Comparing the two mainstays, then Vulcan ship wins. Even comparing the Klingon D-7 Battlecruiser only makes the D'Kyr an overall equal. don't forget that the Vulcans have a fair number of larger warships of the Surak and the Sh'raan classes, as well as a lot of reactivated Vahklas class hanging around following the Kir'shara incident.

It depends mostly on whether the Klingon economy is superior enough over the Vulcan's. and we dont know about that.

The problem with this is that Vulcan ships are way over powered for the era, the D'kyra is almost as big as a Galaxy... I think B&B used 'Thomas's Star Trek Webpage' for inspiration...

Ok we can assume a few things here.

In TOS the Klingons were a credable threat to the Federation which is the Vulcans plus several other major powers.

This would lead me to believe that in ENT era there empire would be considerably bigger than the Vulcans.

Now Vulcan tech seems a lot better than Klingons tech in ENT.

So we have one on one the Vulcans winning dogfights between ships. But with a very lose guess I'm saying the Klingons fleet would be far bigger and able to win over all but it is hard to say for sure either way.

Using both sides' comparison to Earth doesn't help - either one could generally kick Earth's ass.

I'd agree that a Vulcan ship would probably win in a fight against most Klingon ships. The problem is that we don't know anything about territroy, industrial capacity or fleet strength for either.

We dont know for sure but we can make some very lose assumptions about size.

I would think that the Klingons would have the industrial base here. After all, Vulcan is a lone world, the Klingons already have an "empire".

We don't know what that Empire is though and the Vulcans have Colonies too, this could be the extent of the Klingon Empire at this point.
