Excuse me. But as far as we know, the Romulan Empire is the only group to have developed such a cloak. And as we have stepped away from cloaking devices, such a restriction would be quite pointless.

As well as the Duras sisters IIRC, so yes, I think it would be a fair enough thing to do.

It would actually be a very good idea, then we would not worry about enemy attacks that cannot be detected at all.

If the Klingons had developed such an honorless weapon, I'm sure the majority of them would not use it.

We will consider signing it, even though we consider it to be a waste of... paper, figuratively speaking.

As the Gorn Hegemony recently signed a treaty in which we agreed to not develop cloaking devices at all, the Gorn Hegemony feels it is unnecessary for them to sign a treaty limiting the usage of fire-through-cloaks.

My friend, it WAS the Klingons that pioneered such technology.

I stand corrected then. Do we know if it was the Empire as a whole, or just one house? I am not an expert on Klingon history, even when it involves the Romulan Empire.

==General Comms; Formal address from the Office of the President==

As many of you may have learned, the Federation has gained access to a stable wormhole who's terminus lies in the Delta Quadrant. Trade through the wormhole is likely to be very lucrative for anyone who wishes. The Federation is willing to negotiate terms for trade through the wormhole. Private comms to the President will be answered and delt with as they come in. It is also important that I inform you trade may be limited until the Kazon threat is compltely taken care of. While measures are being put into place to deal with the immediate threat, it may continue for some time.

In regard to the newly located wormhole. The Klingon Empire recognizes the Federation's claim to its find. However, the Empire will not recognize the Federation's claim to the neutral space that it traveled to find this wormhole.

As of this moment, the Klingon Empire officially calls on the United Federation of Planets! To give up its claim on the neutral space between the Klingon Empire and the Gorn Hegemony.

The Gorn Hegemony must agree with the Klingon Empire. We recognize the Federation claim to the wormhole terminus, but take issue with the Federations claim to the neutral territory separating the Hegemony and the Empire. We require that the Federation surrender it's claim to the space. We suggest that the corridor be left neutral, for all who wish to access the wormhole.

At the moment, the Cardassian Union has no official position on the matter of the annexed space. However, we ARE somewhat concerned by what the Federation plans to do about this overt act of war by the Kazon.

The federation will give up official claim on the space as long as the Klingons Gorn and tholians assure us that there will be no form of obstruction erected in the space. The purpose of the corridors was to assure safe and quick passage to the clok'cha system if I'm convinced I can have that I will descend my claim on that space.

To the Gorns comment in no way was the corridors limiting access to the wormhole and in no way is it's removal opening it to any and everyone. I have recieved and negotiated one trading agreement through the wormhole and will continue to listen to others as they come in.

the immediate kazon threat has been delt with. The federation will continue hostilities with the kazon as long as they choose to. We will secure the delta terminus of the wormhole to prevent the kazon or any other power from launching a sneak attack against any power in the alpha/beta quadrants and that will be the end of it as far as we are concerned

The Klingon Empire has long protected this region of space. The Gorn and Tholians can attest to their safety as such. As we have done for the last two hundred years, we will continue to enforce order in the contested region.

The High Council will deploy a dedicated fleet to the region. Its purpose from this day forward will be to defend the wormhole and the space around it.

With this, will the Federation withdraw its claim peacefully?
