The Imperial government confirms the Romulan announcement that peace has been achieved. The Romulan state is now a protectorate of the Empire. As of now, all Imperial and Romulan borders are closed to all traffic until further notice as we attend the needs of rebuilding the worlds which have suffered from this conflict. We intend to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

We are pleased that reason has won out over prideful arrogance. We will withdraw our task force to the border at once.

The Vanguard Flotilla is content to leave the clean up operation to civilian and Klingon authorities. I'm sure humanitarian aid shall be dispatched in due course.

The fleet will withdraw to our own territory.

In the war, many of our financial records were lost, and we fear they are incomplete. If all powers to whom we owe could provide a rough estimate of the amount so that we can begin repayment with a goal in mind.

Also, to those powers that provided non-financial assistance, we would like to begin negotiating some form of repayment. It will be difficult, but we will repay all of our debts.

*** Universal Address ***

It is with heavy heart that we sit in vigil over the disappearance of the Kazon-Ferengi Alliance. We may not have agreed on many things, if anything besides a precariously stable trade route, but no race should simply disappear from the map. In that light we must demand that the Federation release its findings in the region as soon as they become available. If they can simply be wiped from the face of the universe, like someone wipes a smear from glass, then they are a threat to the security of every race in space. We must know, regardless of Allegiances, what has caused this tragedy so we may better prepare for it. All of us.

The Empire wishes to confirm the news report that the vessels of Klingon design in FKI space were a part of arms sale. As the deal was incomplete at the time of the FKI's fall. We still have one thousand battle cruisers open for sale should anyone wish to purchase them. Anyone wishing to purchase from the Empire should contact the Imperial Defense Force - High Command on private channels.

We must also sadly declare that, with the decline of the FKI, we have another two trade routes and a significant avenue of trade to be sent to other powers to aid them and ourselves in economical stability.

The Breen confederacy is deeply troubled by this turn of events. We suggest that an investigation begin immediately, and ships be sent from all interested powers to scan FKI space. We advise limiting the ships sent to no more than ten per race, and suggest that the vessels rendezvous at a system outside of FKI space to begin long-range scans before entering.

We are willing to allow limited Breen forces to stage within Cardassian space as a gesture of neighborly courtasy.

As the only routes open to the Empire would require six to eight months of transit, we will be abstaining from the joint operation. It would simply take to long for our scouts to arrive.
