Halo is a console game. Halo and Halo 2 are on Xbox while Halo 3 is on Xbox 360. You can get Halo for the computer, and Halo 2, but Halo 2 only works on Vista and it came out about the same time as Halo 3 on the console. That's pretty lame. And it's hard to do machinima on the cheap on the computer, especially with first-person shooters(like Halo) as you would need one computer for every character in a scene and one more as a 'camara man'. Luckily consoles allow up to four characters per console and in Halo multiplayer I think the most you can have on any map is 16 characters. So that's a maximum of twelve characters in any one scene and a camara man. That's probably more then enough for the average machinama.

The best part about Red vs. Blue is that you can probably replicate about 90% of the scenes without having to add any of your own effects which is kinda cool.
Yep. That's why I don't know anything about it. I don't own a game console, and I don't have any intentions to do so. I barely have time in my life to log on here for 20 minutes at a time, and if I do have a couple hours free, you can damn well bet it'll be spent at a playground or event with my family.

From B5.

[3 sharlins and a white star jump in to face off the earth force fleet]

"This is Ambassador Delenn of the Minbari. Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw...or be destroyed." - Delenn

"Negative. We have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship." - Earth force captain

"Why not? Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me. you are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else." - Delenn

[earth force fleet leaves]

Blackstar's talking about the gaming term of console. in Gaming terms, console is PS2, Xbox, 360 PS3 etc. they called consoles to differentiate from computers.

What rock do you live under n00b? Everyone knows that when you're talking about games that 'computer' refers to PCs much like how PS3 refers to PS3 or 360 refers to the Xbox 360. Since there is no single type of computer like there is with consoles 'PC' or 'computer' takes the place of the console name. ex: Star Trek Voyager Elite force is a PS2 and PC game.

You know there's people here older than twenty right? The first consoles where referred to as computers as far back as the Atari and Coleco. But hey thanks for the crash course in modern geek.

Sorry, but that's the equivilent of calling a car an automobile. It's correct, but it's outdated and everyone knows what a car is anyway. It's the same thing with consoles. Anyone who's owned a console in the past 15 or 20 years knows this.

Oh, and I do know what an Atari is but what is a Coleco? Never even heard of it.

And? We are technically correct, the best kind of correct!

Cookie for the reference.

Yeah, state of the in 1982. Indeed a modern pocket calculator has more memory than it but in the 80's it was a blast!
