And then on some occasions, some of them *cough*D*cough* blow up when something scrapes the paint.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Well, the ship nearly blowing up every week proved that they made the wrong choice there. :P

I have a feeling Scotty in the E-D's engine room in Generations would've meant a saved ship.

Although Kirk in charge would've meant a smeared Klingon ship a hell of a lot sooner.

Crewman "Sir, they've found a way to penatrate our shield!"

Kirk "Scotty, find a way to repair the shields. Fire all phasers! Again! Again! Now, ready a full spread of photon torpedeos. FIRE!!!!"

I think one full spread would blow the oversized fighter to bits, personally. :D

EDIT: think Littoral Combat Ship vs Kirov-class Battlecruiser...

Just out of curiosity, DID the E-D ever fire a full spread of 10 torps at once?

I know they let loose on the Borg Cube, and the Husnock ship; I can't think of any other examples off-hand.
