Best Aliens
Out of all the alien species you've encountered in science fiction--books, movies/tv, games--who would you say are your favorites?
For me...
Pilots, Leviathans, & Ancients - FS
Gaim & n'grath's race - B5
Asgard & Re'tu - SG
Thranx - Alan Dean Foster's Humanx Commonwealth
Hrruban - Anne McCaffrey's Doona
Xindi-Insectoid, Xindi-Aquatic, Space Jellyfish ("EaF"), Gomtuu, Tholian, Gorn, Species 8472, & Saurian - ST
I've got a thing for insectoid and space dwelling lifeforms.

Star Trek: Naussican

Aliens, Predators (but not 'Aliens vs. Predators...) Orcs from LOTR.
Hmmm, I seem to like cryptic and/or brutish bipeds in general...

Freman from Dune. Self made kick ass humans. Not sure if they really count as alien...
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Tough one. I guess I have to go with the "gods" and the Great Old Ones from H. P. Lovecraft. I also really liked the Diaboli from Isaac Asimov's "In a Good Cause-"
I also have to give an honorable mention to the Martians from Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles and to Douglas Adams' Vogons.
