Re: Today I Watched...
Just watched (again) Kenneth Branagh's 1993 Much Ado About Nothing. Which is one of my all time favourite movies. It's just so cheery from start to finish. It has fantastic production values and some excellent acting. Featuring a very young Kate Beckinsale (Selene in Underworld) as Hero and an equally young Robert Sean Leonard (Wilson in House) as Claudio. Two fresher faced people you have yet to see.
Kenneth Branagh and his wife at the time Emma Thomson, take the major roles of Beatrice and Benedick, two quick witted people who have railed against love and are tricked into admitting that they are actually in love with each other. Filled out with a cast that includes Denzel Washington, Keanu Reeves and British legends in the name of Richard Briers and Brian Blessed. Add to that the Michael Keaton as Dogbery and Ben Elton as Verges as two of the most dim witted law enforcement men you are likely to see outside of "The Naked Gun".
If you can cope with the language of Shakespeare it's one of the best 1:50mins you can spend. I'm sure I've said it before I love this movie.

Re: Today I Watched...
I saw "Spider-Man: No Way Home" yesterday. I am a great fan of the MCU, and Spider-Man, but I really felt this film was not up to the standards of some other Marvel films. I preferred "Far From Home" over this one. It seemed slow going a lot of the time, and I even turned off and did some spreadsheets, and then went back to it as I was not really invested in it.

The Contractor: A Chris Pine vehicle, which plays like a Jason Bourne flick if JB was married with a kid. Kinda slow for an action movie, but still ok.

Re: Today I Watched...
Wednesday I saw:
The Bad Guys
Dreamworks Kids Animation, Wolf, Snake, Piranha, Tarantula, Shark are the bad guys. Not bad if you like that sort of thing. Richard Ayoade plays the good-y good Guinea Pig.
Sonic 2
Live action Sonic the Hedgehog movie sequel. About what you would expect.
Secrets of Dumbledore
Third in a like of Harry Potter prequels. If you know the universe then it is full of easter eggs. A little hard to follow if you don't.
Morbius
Marvels take on Vampires. It should have been called "Sonic the Dracula".
The Lost City
Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in a action-y RomCom. Not half bad at all. Entertaining with a good bad guy provided by Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.

The Batman: not much new with this guy...same fights, same internal drama, same same same...meh! Andy Serkis as Alfred was a bright spot, some of the visuals were good, when there was enough light to see them at all. Not my cup of superhero tea.

Re: Today I Watched...
This does not bode well for the MCU if general audiences think Morbius is a Marvel Studios product and not Sony's.IanKennedy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 10:43 am Wednesday I saw:

Marvel were involved, as in it had their name on it as well as Sony.

Uncharted: did not know a thing about the source material of videos game for this, so lots was lost on me....however the forced humor and plot elements incredibly easy to see far far in advance, made the film cringe-worthy as well as popcorn-entertaining. Massive sequels likely to follow, without a doubt.

Re: Today I Watched...
I saw "No Time To Die" a few days ago, when it was released on Amazon Prime. It's an okay addition to the franchise, but not Craig's best, and not the best of Bond.
