Emotional Episodes
Okay... so I was watching Season 3's The Offspring... and the moment Lal walked into Troi's quarters (?)... I just started bawling my eyes out. I'm like, 'nooo omg she's experiencing emotions but she's dying here and omg'...
What for you guys get a more emotional reaction on a rewatch?

Re: Emotional Episodes
Well, as with you, the Offspring and Lal's death. Good lord that gets me.
The final poker game, too. Such a satisfying ending to the series. They're tears, but happy tears that they managed to stick the landing so perfectly.
Oh, and Darmok!

Picard breaking down in 'Family'. Hell, Wesley receiving that message from his dad, too.

Oh hell yes. And you know the actor had only lost his own wife shortly before? Talk about resonating with a performance.Nutso wrote:

Worf asks Alexander, "You've never seen death before?"
Alexander shakes his head to say, "No."
Worf instructs him, "Then look, and ALWAYS remember!"
And the music is just driving the emotions.
When Worf was fighting Duras I was like, "Get him! KILL HIS ASS, WORF!!!" And at the end when Worf finally accepts Alexander as his son- "Yes. I AM your father." And TNG outro theme plays as they hug.

Yeah. I love the idea of an immortal, nigh omnipotent being still capable of falling in love, remaining ethical enough to never take a life, and exploding in a rage when those he loved were killed. It's really easy to get the scope of his revenge because the dialog didn't use words like "genocide", or "extincted." He spells it out, "...I killed them all. All the Husnock. Everywhere," cutting away to the dawning realization on Crusher and Picard's faces.Graham Kennedy wrote:Oh hell yes. And you know the actor had only lost his own wife shortly before?
