To get HD images you need everything working together, I know a few people who just got the TV or the DVDs and not the package and dont realise they are missing out on what they paid for.
You need the:
HD TV
Cables (these are what everyone forgets and can cost a bit)
Player
Right format DVD
Sound system (not needed but if your going for this type of system its a waste not to get this)
Leather couch
Beer
Nachos

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Actually having great cables, a decent DVD player and a great TV and you really do not need Blu Ray. He difference between DVd and BR is not as great as VHS and DVD.

Re: TNG BluRays
BluRay seems to be more about actual reediting and finishing the product rather than just better resolution.

On another note, what's the canon policy regarding these BluRay changes?

Offical Bluray would mean canon I assume.
