Few things are better than a fish.
Oh god, that sounds so terribly euphemistic. And ironic for me

Good fun on a paintball range, that. Especially when you're defending and the opposition have the tactical nouse of Starfleet.

Most paint ball groups are about that level.

Played against enough paintball teams, they generally have the battle skill of a Narn rush.

On some games stormtroopers have good aims. Just not in "Real" life.

That brainbug has been around for ages, and it's just as false now as it always was. In ANH alone they fought their way through a defended chokepoint with few casualties, a light infantry force destroyed a sandcrawler with precise hits to key structural components, and they had to shepherd a hostile force through the guts of the Death Star without killing them, while giving the illusion of strong resistance and while said hostiles were trying to kill them. In all cases they accomplished their task exceptionally well.alexmann wrote:On some games stormtroopers have good aims. Just not in "Real" life.

They also managed to storm through Echo Base and take it out, too.

Sure - I was just listing their feats in ANH, as it's their first appearance, and they comprehensively demolish the "stormies can't shoot straight" nonsense. Even their most notorious defeat, Endor, was going pretty well until Chewie hijacked an AT-ST. The only serious charges that can be brought against the Imperial military for their conduct during that battle are gross stupidity on the part of the idiot who let Han into the complex, and possibly insubordination and cowardice by Pellaeon, depending on which account of the timing of his retreat relative to Eleemosynary's disabling is accurate.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:They also managed to storm through Echo Base and take it out, too.

"Send three squads to-"
"Wait! Trooper, what's your operating number?"
And the galaxy turn on one soldier having a clue... like the guy in ANH, now that I ponder.
