What's the latest in people's lives?
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
Man I am in so much pain right now, my legs still ache from going on a massive walk yesterday, and I believe I have a bit of sunstroke as well, and on top of this I have managed to catch a cold, so I am proper weak at the minute.

How did you manage to catch a cold in the middle of summer? A proper summer at that (at least for the last few days).

I have no idea, I think I've caught it off a family member.

One of them eh? Ouch. Are you just the second, or has it been doing the rounds?Condan1993 wrote:I have no idea, I think I've caught it off a family member.

I hate summer colds. I can understand winter colds. Thats par for the course. But no, I always seem to get a cold in the middle of summer when you would expect it to be warm.
Re: What's the latest in people's lives?
IIRC, colds aren't actually caused by being cold, just that there are often more colds in there is a lot more time spent indoors, which puts infected people in close proximity to other people.

I had gathered, but that does not prevent me from using its namesake against it.

Indeed. The common cold is caused by the many varieties of rhinovirus: being cold doesn't cause it, nor does going outside with wet hair (no matter what your mother says.) Extremes of temperature - either way - can lessen one's immune defense against it, though.
