Since I ended up with a dumb fat man as my SM. I'm going to rename him and change his backround story.

Ya know, 31 is average intelligence. He's not really that stupid.

My guy is on the not so bright side at 25 but he's not a retard.

Ultramarines are slaves to the Codex anyways, they don't need brains. :wink:

Do Space Wolf Apothecaries in service to the Deathwatch get their wolf skull helms or the standard ones?

A smurf having an original thought would probably get him thrown out of the chapter.

You keep what you come with. The only thing the DW does is paint your armor black except for your left shoulder with the chapter insignia.

That actually happens in Dead Sky, Black Sun, even though the Captain and Sgt in question literally saved a world.

Yep, saved that world and probably quite a few others but since they did something non-codex the chapter gave them an uncompletable quest and threw them out in disgrace. After all, what's a few hundred billion lives next to the Codex?

Who needs thoughts when your chief librarian can just tell you where you're supposed to be to look like heroes?

Kendall - near as I can tell, you keep your own armor (as Tyyr said,) paint it black, swap your left (chapter badge) pauldron to your right side - so there is no squad marking - and put the Deathwatch insignia on your left pauldron.

BTW - I'll add all the benefits of the implants, etc., when I get to it... I just wanted to get the basic char up. Assault marine, obviously, but also suited to recce and advance/sabotage/spec-ops work.

I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the skills that normally come from someone being educated. He's got some brains though mostly on fighting and little else.
