I enjoyed this episode... at least more than most of VOY/ENT.

Eh. Frankly I think it was much like the rest of Voyager, dodging anything even slightly morally ambiguous and blowing potential left and right. It was admittedly a cut above regular Voyager but I'd have given it a 6 or 7.

It's quite interesting to see an American's perspective on a British TV show.

Also, I didn't know there was a US Red Dwarf. Dear God, it looks awful.

There are quite a few US remakes of British shows. Most of them blow. British humor doesn't tend to translate well.

It was shite, pure unredeemable shite.

There are quite a few US remakes of British shows. Most of them blow. British humor doesn't tend to translate well.

I think it's more that US remakes tend to dumb things down drastically. Look at the difference between Michael Scott and David Brent, one is a complete fucking buffoon, the other is a selfish, sexist and racist, yet ultimately sympathetic character.
