I'm up late at night, no one to talk to, so, I figured I would post here, that's the latest in my life.

My uncle is coming in from California tonight at some point; haven't seen him for a while.

Should be fun.

Update: not so much fun so far.

My Dad's in the hospital. He'd been feeling a little lethargic the last week, but he's 75 and we've had a bit of a heat wave, so it didn't really seem odd. Late last night he fainted, and this morning was found to have a very low blood pressure. He's due for a transfusion soon; consensus seems to be that he's got some small but as-yet undefined source of internal blood loss, probably in the upper GI - ulcer, aneurysm along the digestive tract, or somesuch.

Gah. Hope it's nothing too serious, Mikey.

My mom has a similar problem. She needs 2 pints every few weeks. As yet, they haven't been able to find the bleed, so she keeps going in for a refill.

My great grandmother has the same issue. Her blood pressure is low as is her volume. Her marrow is making blood but they have no idea where it's going.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I kept telling him to wear the garlic necklace... Thanks, everyone. He feels well, but is scheduled for an upper GI series to try and find the leak. EKG, etc. are fine. He had been prescribed an out-of-the-ordinary NSAID for gout, which may have combined with his aspirin regimen to make bleeding easier.

Bob lost his 8GB Ipod touch in the nearby park, and we have no clue where it is. I paid for it, and am pissed that I wasted 200 bucks on an ipod that he would eventually lose, and I knew he would, and he did, it was only like 6 months. I am thoroughly pissed right now, IDK what I'm pissed at even, just in general.
