It is Michael Bay. You know, the guy who had Cold War era cruisers lying around during the attack on Pearl Harbour.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Read the review, all I can really say is... so?
Goofy Humor - Well the first one had it. Watch the entire scene where Sam goes home to find the glasses, tell me that's not painful to watch for anyone over the age of 10. Not excusing it but its par for the course.
Humans are Secondary - Aside from Megan Fox rubbing herself on various vehicles I'm there for the transformers, not the humans.
Lots of Explosions - I should hope.
Spotty Geography - Wow, in a Hollywood picture?
American Armed Forces - You mean in an American summer blockbuster made by the guy who can get F-22s for his pictures with one phone call it doesn't prominently feature the French, Russian, Taiwanese or other armies? Are you shitting me?

Have a link to that review so I can laugh at it?

Newspaper review, and I can't get to the online one thanks to the content filter my work has.
Actually, there was one complaint that's probably valid. Having jive talking, gold teeth wearing, "illiterate" robots is pretty... asking for it.

Here you go, Stitch. I'd say enjoy, but it just made me mad.

Meh. The only thing I can realy criticise there is him getting mixed up between Starscream and Jetfire's names.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Well I went and saw it last night and I thought it was amazing...as good as if not better than the first one...even my friend (who originally didn't want to see it b/c he hates Shia La Boef) thought it was really good.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Has he not seen the Alien movies?although never in the history of science fiction has an alien been harmed by gunfire.
Or read any scifi books (at least the ones I read).
Or watched First Contact (ok so it was a holographic gun and the Borg was technically human... was it...)?
As for the rest, can't say anything about it as I haven't seen it. It is rather hard to talk about a movie you haven't seen (though some try).

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
I'm watching Shia LeBeouf on the Today show, and I think he's very intelligent, which I always like( i hate stupid actors) and he talks very humanly, which is nice...
Based on that, I would actually enjoy the movie probably.

I'll rent for two reasons:
1. My son likes Transformers
2. Optimus is voiced by the same fellow that did the original series. And that is too cool for a guy who watched it Saturday mornings.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Another sweet part is that the Auto bots aren't a bunch of wimps this time...
In the first movie during the Carson City battle, all the Autobots seemed to be really weak: (This spoiler is from the original)
(This one is from #2)

Or the novel Starship Troopers, or heard of WH40k (in which slugthrowers are quite common,) etc., etc.?stitch626 wrote:Has he not seen the Alien movies?although never in the history of science fiction has an alien been harmed by gunfire.

I can't stand reviewers who give a bad review just for the sake of doing it.
