The firewall probably just has a list of prohibited sites and uses keywords or something. It's not like he's going to jail for looking at a thread with nothing in it and being charged with looking at child-porn requires intent. Which is why all of us that got hoodwinked by 4/chan (or whoever those fucking losers where) on SDN a couple months back aren't being buggered in Con College.thelordharry wrote:
Hope you don't get your collar felt for trying to access the thread then! Surely you trying to access something that's banned is logged somewhere?

We've reported it. Great on Hampshire Constabulary.
"Whats stolen?"
An iPod.
"Whats it look like?"
Black and silver.
"Was there any form of naming on it?"
...Its an ipod. They arent easy to label.
"Where was it stolen?"
Bridgemary community sports college.
"Sorry madam. If you dont have a culprit to hand to me, its probably been....whatevered to remove any identification in the software. Hard luck, miss."

Well, that blows dude. I usually try to jot down the serial number on my kit in case of theft, maybe try that for the future?
Though that answer reeks of "we can't be bothered" to me.

That sucks, Reliant.
If I may make a suggestion, you could do what I do. Scratch your name into the casing with a nail, or other pointed object. That's not going to come off for a long time. If someone steals it, it'll be easy as pie to spot the culprit.

I shall do in future.
To be fair, the Fareham police station does manage the worst neighbourhood (Paul's Grove) in the county. They probably are pretty busy with something far more important than some random kid having their iPod stolen. That isn't the point, nor is it an excuse, but it does bring light to things.

Are your parents willing to buy you another one?
And where was it stolen, like a locker, or right off you?

Cloakroom of the LRC.
My parents didnt think i should take it in the first place. Therefore they have used it as an example to me to heed their advice, and they are unwilling to get another. Besides, i dont want one. I prefer using a phone anyway, it means less items to loose. Besides, i guard my phone like a hawk.

Fair enough, your phone can play music so that's good, I couldn't live without my music.

My phone's designed to play it. its Nokia's 5310 Xpressmusic thingy. Why I have an iTouch i dont know, since the music function is somewhat superfluous when you have a music phone.

I doubt I get in any trouble, it's happenned to me before while trying to access different threads....If someone does approach me I'll just tell them the truth, see what they say to that.thelordharry wrote:Hope you don't get your collar felt for trying to access the thread then! On a funnier note, to all of us who have posted in the legal/moral issues with the holodeck program, and were commenting about how some manager somewhere is pissing his pants over all the key word searches we just activated....
I just tried to opean that thread at school, and the pornography filter blocked it.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
