Well, what else would you have Burns do?

Re: Olympic class
*Looks up boatswain* I suppose... but how would that translate into Starfleet?

I don't know about Radar as chief engineer... Maybe Rizzo? And Margaret would obviously be head nurse. Maybe BJ or Winchester as FO?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Well, what else would you have Burns do?

Re: Olympic class
Okay, taking the U-Turn back to semi-on topic: What do people think about using this as a troop transport? The design is pretty robust looking and it'd be really easy to take out the med stuff and fill it with bunks, etc. You could even argue that you could fit the bottom half of the "sphere" with landing craft or something.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

Re: Olympic class
Or perhaps make the sphere capable of seperating, and acting as one big dropship, like the Trade Federation ships.

Re: Olympic class
On the M*A*S*H joke... Winchester could also be the decorator, based on David Ogden Stiers recent outing.
On Bryan's point - no reason why it couldn't be converted. The removal of dedicated hospital equipment would leave plenty of room for troop equipment, landers, vehicles, etc.
Rochey - good idea, but probably only as a last resort. I could see that huge sphere being about as maneuverable in atmosphere as a three-legged cow, and it would present a huge, tempting target.
