In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

The connection was a bit iffy, but it was still accessible on-and-off.

Likewise, just had to refresh a few times.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I couldn't get on full stop. Refreshed a hundred times, tried at different times. Couldn't access at all.

They're called "streamers". It's rare to see one, and rarer still to photograph one.Capt. Jethro wrote:Got struck by lightning the the other day heading out on a trip. The weird thing is that there was a tendril of energy right at the end of the radome for a few seconds then BAM everything went white till our vision returned. No damage though, but it was the weirdest strike I've ever encountered.

Cool, thanks. I'm sure it's rare, it's the first time I've seen something like this in my 20+ years of flying. We were climbing through 8500 ft just outside of Memphis on our way to Baltimore when we got struck. Funny thing is the mechanics couldn't find any damage after an inspection. Usually there is an exit hole on the wing tips or tail.GrahamKennedy wrote:They're called "streamers". It's rare to see one, and rarer still to photograph one.
Check this lightning strike out.

It's not only not rare - it's universal. Lightning isn't a "surface to ground" phenomenon, but the ionisation of the path of least resistance between a positive and negative charge. In a storm these streamers are constantly being formed, both from the cloud and the ground (or aircraft in your case), and occasionally join up to form a lightning bolt. Usually it happens so quickly that they aren't seen before the bolt forms, but occasionally there's enough of a delay between the streamer forming and the bolt for them to be spotted.Capt.
