GrahamKennedy wrote:The Black Hole, because as a kid I was fascinated with these things and now I had a chance to actually see a movie about one! I loved it, every single second of it. Last year I bought the DVD and it's very much more "you can see the strings" than I remembered, but it still has a certain charm. This is a movie that is absolutely begging for a remake, IMO.
I found this film much more enjoyable as an adult - but only because it freaked the crap out of me as a kid. Cheesy robots aside, its pretty dark for a Disney film.

The music is great though, I had the suite on a soundtracks CD, I need to get hold of it again (or dig out the CD).

EDIT: Just reordered the CD, its also got a few good versions of Star Wars and Star Trek films, and a very very good version of Taarna's Theme from Heavy Metal.

The Last Starfighter.
What kid playing a video game ever wishes he could do that in real life, and then gets the 'opportunity'.
(when the main character is asking about the other starfighters)
"How many are left?"
(navigator who was on site during the attack) "Including yourself?"
"Yes"
"One."
"One!" (helmet slams shut so you don't hear what he says next)

Dune - original version
Just freakin awesome, especially watching a worm eat the first harvester.

Wow! How could no one list The Goonies?! That movie was awesome! One of my absolute faves! Everyone wanted to be a Goonie as a kid!

Flight of the Navigator
Land Before Time

Mighty Ducks 2 (we only ever got the second one)
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (I really did love it a lot when I was a child, even though I tended to fall asleep nearly every time; my nephews also loved it when they were younger)
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Airplane II: The Sequel
Little Rascals
Hot Shots!

Me too! One of my nephews horked my old copy - but for Hannukah (yes, that's right) this year I got the new release special edition DVD. I was very excited. In fact, when we took our vaca to DisneyWorld, the only souvenirs I was interested in for myself were the Jack Skellington merchandise.

I liked the first one better (The dragonfly's name was Evinrude! How great is that!) but I liked the sequel, too.

Besides Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica...........you guys are going to understand my odd personality quite a bit now.

Private Lessons ( A T&A flick)
My Tutor (A T&A flick)
Porky's (A T&A flick)
Zapped (A T&A flick)

need I go on?

And yes. I was a kid, between 5 and 8 when I was into these movies.
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.
