Well not a lot of love for the Narada in our marathon poll. 43.4% of voters thought it was a bad or awful design, whilst only 35.1% liked it, with the balance not caring much. Today we move on to one of the intriguing little background designs...

Well, as promised, we have a new caption competition today. But as I said yesterday there's something new today. As of now you can vote for your favorite entries. You can vote for as many entries as you wish. Just a few things about voting though. Only people with a forum username and password can vote, plus you can only vote once for each caption comp.

The winner will be the one with the most votes at the end of the week. Special mentions will also be selected bases upon votes. You cannot see how the voting is going until it is complete so there can be no strategic voting.

Apologies for the site outage today. There have been issues with our server. We've now been moved onto new hardware. More complications caused the transfer to fail meaning that it took more time to complete than we would have hoped for. Because of these issues there will be no change to the caption comp and poll today. These will happen tomorrow instead. On the caption comp front something new is coming, but, more of that tomorrow.

Well the Kelvin got a resounding thumbs up, with a 69.3% positive response - interesting for the very first major ship design with an odd number of nacelles. This week we ask about the Narada.
