A small hand held, metal, egg shaped explosive device. The arming pin is pulled and the remaining part thrown at the enemy. After a delay, typically 5 seconds, it explodes. Breaking into fragments of metal which form shrapnel, which along with the explosive force causes significant injuries to anyone in the vicinity. [1]
