Notes

These stations were employed on Earth during the late 20th century as storage for the frozen bodies of the recently dead. The idea was that future medical technology would be able to revive the occupants, curing whatever ailment had killed them in the process. Although largely considered to be a fad, at least one cryosatellite was discovered in deep space in the 24th century with three intact bodies aboard. The three were revived and resumed their lives. [3]
