● [1] The Enterprise-D arrives at Deneb IV to inspect the Farpoint station. Beverly Crusher joins the ship as Chief Medical Officer. She brings her son Wesley to the ship with her. Also joining the ship are Commander William Riker and Lieutenant Geordi La Forge. The station is discovered to be a gigantic shape-shifting life-form which the native Bandi have imprisoned on the planet.
