The Enterprise-D transports Tam Elbrun, a telepathic Betazoid and former patient of Deanna Troi. Elbrun's mission is to communicate with 'Tin Man', an alien creature which appears to be a living Starship. Elbrun is eventually able to forge a relationship with the creature, and the two depart together. [1]
