Notes

The Dreadnaught class design and production was commissioned by Admiral Marcus and the first ship of the class, the USS Vengeance, was used in anger in 2259. Unlike other Federation ships it was produced under the auspices of Section 31, rather than at a normal production facility. Tougher and more well armed than any other ship in the fleet was a significant divergence from typical Star Fleet designs. [1]
