NCC-7901 Shuttle Geronimo, identified as "shuttlecraft 12648", was a a Federation shuttlecraft that was in service during the Federation - Klingon war. The shuttle had a large after section and had its nacelles mounted on the dorsal service. This provided protection in war zones as the propulsion system was effetely protected by the rest of the ship. To further enhance the survivability of the craft it was fitted with blast shields over each window. [2]

The shuttle was piloted by Polk and used to transport Christine Chapel to the Mobile Combat Surgical Unit on the moon of J'Gal. Due to heavy fire in the area it was not safe to said the shuttle but instead Chapel was transported to the transporter pad in the field hospital. [2]
