Skygowen was a Non-Federation planet in the Ba-Dates system of the Alpha quadrant, located at coordinates 3448.7421. It had a day length of 25.1 hours and a year of 355 days. It had a mass of 6.38941×1024 Kg and an estimated age of 6.947 x 109 solar years. The atmosphere consisted of 78% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen, 0.8% Argon, 0.8% Water Vapor, and 0.3% Carbon Dioxide and trace amounts of methane and nitrous oxide. It had a mean temperature of 14.1°Celsius. [1]

The planet was home to two native sapient species. The Cali-Katchna, who inhabited the primary city of Cali-Katchna and the Skygowan natives who resided on the rest of the planet. Other lifeforms found on the planet included 289 mammalian species, 472 avian species, 543 reptilian and amphibian species, 719 insect species, and 975 aquatic species. [1]

Skygowan was located on a network of "ley lines" which enabled rapid transit to other locations on the network. The system included Vadia IX and an unstable wormhole. [1]
