Majalis was an inhabited Alpha Quadrant Class N planet in the Majalan system and the homeworld of the Majalans. The surface of the planet had rivers of lava and lakes of acid, leading to the natives building large platforms to that they lived on. In order to control these platforms the designers had used a living childs brain to form the neural network that allowed the system to function. This child was referred to as the "First Servant" and was in constant pain and eventually died. A new "First Servant" would be chosen at birth and brought up to willingly sacrifice themselves for the good of the society. [40]
The planet had a rotation period of 31.9 hours and a year lasted 226.7 solar days. Its mass was estimated at 4.8694x1024 Kg. It had an estimated age of 4.522 billon years in 2249, when it was first surveyed. Its atmosphere consisted of 81.1% CO2, 12.9 Nitrogen, 5.9% Oxygen and 0.9% Argon. It had trace amounts of Methane and water vapour. The planet had a stratified habitable zone with a mean temperature of 18.1°C.
