The Enterprise explores a nebula, finding it to be filled with pockets of dark matter. The ship is ultimately able to escape, although a crewmember is killed whilst in the nebula. During this period Lieutenant Commander Data and crewmember Jenna D'Sora attempt a brief romantic involvement, which ends unhappily for her. [1]
