A Hirogen, Donik was the only survivor when a group of his people aboard a large holographic facility were massacred by the rebel holograms led by Iden. He was rescued by Voyager when the ship discovered the facility. Although initially wary of Voyager's crew he came to trust them, and acted as an intermediary when more of his people arrived. [2]
