Ruler of a tribe on Capella, Akaar was a fierce warrior who lived by a strict code of conduct which was barbaric by Federation standards. He was killed by Maab for his percieved weakness in dealing with the Federation rather than the Klingons, though Maab soon came to see that ruling the tribe required a more balanced view. [1]
