Vurond was a male beta Hirogen hunter. He worked with Karon, his alpha. The pair were hunting a member of species 8472, which they tracked to an asteroid. Once found they thought they had killed it. Returning it to their ship for evisceration. Unfortunately for the Hirogen the 8472 recovered and attacked them, beheading Vurond. [2]
