A native of a planet in the Gamma Quadrant, Epran was infected with the disease known as the Blight. Dr. Bashir attempted to help her, but was unable to cure her of the disease. His treatment did, however, ensure that her unborn child was uninfected and so marked the beginning of the end of the disease. [1]
