An Apothecary on the Akali homeworld, Riann was a highly intelligent woman who used scientific methods far in advance of what would be expected for a pre-industrial civilisation. She was also quite intuitive, with an admiral ability to tell when she was being lied to. Captain Archer was quite attracted to Riann, and the two worked together to end the Malurian mining operation taking place in her city when the NX-01 visited her world in 2151. [1]
