Meenok’s disease

NotesImages
Illness List
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Meenok’s disease [1]

A degenerative neurological condition which struck the descendants of Earth’s first lunar colonists. Meenok's bore a strong similarity to several other, more benign conditions. As a result it was often misdiagnosed until the patient was in the final terminal stages. Victims of the disease typically remained lucid, whilst experiencing extreme debilitating pain during the final stages. [1]

In 2365 Commodore Reyes was informed that his mother had been diagnosed with late-stage Meenok's disease, and had only months to live. Because of his distance from Earth, he was unable to return home to be with her. [1]
