This game is incredible! Without MODs (special enhancements), the game is great... throw into the mix the enhancements and various "upgrades" that can be added to the game *for free* and you have an experience beyond description. I still play this game regularly and have so for years. I'll never lose my love for A2! |

This is a very interesting game. It's not your typical style of play, and the storylines are mildly creative. No cheat codes to be found; lots of patience to be tried. I recommend this as an addition to your PS2 collection. |

Some technical nits to grate the nerves and another re-use of the Mirror Universe gives this an overall "fair" feeling to me. A multiplayer skirmish or head-to-head option would have been great. I play this on the PS2; I do not wholeheartedly recommend this game, but do enourage others to try it at least once. |

PC Version -- Awesome game for its time. I still play from time to time when I get the urge to obliterate the Klingon Supercruiser in head-to-head mode. The storyline was a bit farfetched at times, but the actual gameplay was acceptable. |

SNES Version -- It's an alright game, considering the technology we had for SNES. The "Wrath of Khan" scenario is still my favorite in this game... |

Not a huge fan of 1st Person Shooters, but EF wins me over! I even played Quake after this! There are even communities for free mods and skins! |

SNES Version -- This game was okay... It's been years since I've played it, and I found it acceptable. I now find myself wishing games like "Champions of Norrath" would have a Star Trek counterpart because of playing this game in my teens. |

I actually learned some Klingon from this game (and from a couple hard-print books). I still have it, and I still love it. Just to confuse, I pull it out and refresh my Klingon with Chancellor Gowron. |

I have this for Windows. It's... well... okay. I have a few additional ships from a modding site. I'll play this when I want something bigger than ST: Armada 2 and I don't want to play Encounters on PS2. I was also one of those fools who rushed out to buy hardware to support this game (and enhance another I play). I do not recommend investing more money than you should, unless you have the patience to work through the issues, accept the crappy controls, etc. Overall, great game ... until you play it. Especially if you hate breaking cannon! |
