So my friend Steve and I had come up with something interesting, just to exercise our imagination a little. Please tell me what you think:
USS Kumari
IGS Kumari (AGC-7-01) Kumari class, 2142 – 2154
USS Kumari (NCC-07) NX/Columbia class, 2155 - 2200
USS Kumari (NCC-1201) Horizon class, 2207 – 2237
USS Kumari (NCC-1803) Miranda class, 2243 – 2303
USS Kumari (NCC-4215) Audacious class FF, 2303 – 2328
USS Kumari (NX-10360) Kumari class, 2329 – 2364
USS Kumari (NCC-61172) Saber class, 2368 – 2375
USS Kumari (NCC-65610) Defiant class? 2377 - 2384
USS Kumari (NCC-80407) Borodin class 2386 – present
USS Vol'Rala
IGS Vol’Rala (AGC-7-10) Kumari class, 2143 – 2161
USS Vol’Rala (AGC-7-10) Kumari class, 2161 – 2165 (is this the same ship as above? Why not NCC?)
USS Vol’Rala II (AGC-7-10-A) Kumari class, 2166 – 2206 (again, if it's a Starfleet ship, why not NCC?)
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-1803) Miranda class, 2243 – 2275
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-2013) Soyuz class, 2276 – 2282
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-2589) Constellation class, 2291 – 2319
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-10291) Furig-to class Perimeter Action Vessel, 2320 – 2348
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-60513) Nebula class, 2356 - 2374
USS Vol’Rala (NCC-65610/68892) Akira class 2376 – present

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you want us to confirm that this was your (and Steve's) invention?
*EDIT* Also, I don't recognize some of the classes to which you referred. How are we supposed to comment on things that you just made up? For example, I'm a huge fan of Alexander Borodin's music, but I know of no starship class named for him.

Hmm. OK, then - with the proviso in mind that since this non-canonical and therefore anything anyone says may be dismissed out of hand, I will say this: a) I personally don't care for the idea of including an individual species' pre- or non-Federation ships in such a lineage.
b) The re-use of names seems to have been a big deal in he UTP. Much was made when people discovered the christening of a new ship "Enterprise," for example, so I'd suspect that the practice is rather less common than you present. This being your own fiction, however, you are free to dismiss that point or explain it away.

Enterprise is not the only ship.Mikey wrote: b) The re-use of names seems to have been a big deal in he UTP. We learnt this week about the Buran of Captain Lorca (there was a Buran at Wolf 359), and for years we have known about Defiant. Without looking at Memory Alpha I already have three ships.

This is nothing to do with TNG? Seems like another item for the writers forum.
