It wouldn't happen. Kirk would sleep with every woman in starfleet and turn them to his side. Spock would call on logic power and confuse SFHQ as they do not understand what logic or IQ are. Scotty would teach everyone how they DON'T HAVE TO DIE if someone coughs at their warpcore. McCoy would invent a drug to cause everyone to feel tired as so less able to stop Kirk and Spock. Sulu would take command of starfleet and turn all men who don't follow the new order gay. Chekov would say something funny sounding and cause everyone to laugh out in madness. Uhura would wear a miniskirt.

Well, they aren't stupid. They just tend to be too trusting and often use poor tactics, when at all.

Anyway, we've all already seen what Jim Kirk does when he gets an order or a regulation he doesn't like - he ignores through sheer strength of Kirk-ness.

Poorly designed ships.
Almost non-existant safety systems.
Horrific security.
Letting Janeway anywhere near a ship.
No ground weapons larger than rifles.
No armoured vehicles.
Captain Janeway.
Throwing civilians into dangerous situations.
Over reliance on active systems.
No seperate ground army.
Having the same organisation run military operations and civilian operations.
Admiral Janeway.
Powder keg warp cores.
Considering tactics to be of no relevance.
Almost no dedicated warships untill the Dominion War.
A certain person named Janeway.
Making massive military and territorial concessions to oposing powers to avoid loss of life.
Computer systems so horribly designed, a computer virus can take over every function on the ship.
No body armour, or any protection at all, for combat personel.
King-sized quarters for every crewman.
Carpeted hallways in ships designed to see combat.
Issuing about fifty warnings against a ship that is already firing on them.
A certain person whose name begins with 'J' and ends with 'Way'.


And that is just off the top of my head. Give me ten minutes, and I'll have and A4 page full of reasons.

You say all this but the other races Except perhaps The Romulans and the Bajorans make just as many stupid mistakes.

Yes but the problem is that the UFP should surpass all those other powers with ease. Yet they don't. Most races have only one or two home worlds. The UFP has 180!

I'll concede that. It seems as if the Humans took over all of the UFP's decisions. And compared to most other races, they are merely infants. If only the other member races actually bothered to give advice then perhaps there wouldn't be as many stupid C*ckups.
