Yeah, so at the 2013 MLB All-Star game, the league brought in Marc Anthony to sing The National Anthem. Some fans were angry:







Never mind that Marc Anthony is born in the United States (New York City) and is of Puerto Rican rather than Mexican descent.

Just a quick point of fact to Nutso: "G-d Bless America" is not our national anthem.
However, you are correct in asserting that Marc Anthony is NOT of Mexican ancestry, and IS a natural American citizen... and I trust we didn't even need to reinforce the fact that Twitter is full of a bunch of mouth-breathing slime creatures who couldn't find their own asses with both hands and a hunting dog.

Probably the same people who love the Pledge of Allegiance and what it forced on everybody.

I love the Pledge of Allegiance, and while I don't condone forcing dogma on anyone - and certainly could never consider requiring someone to reference G-d who doesn't believe in G-d or believes in a manner that doesn't conceptualize a deity in a way that admits the traditional Judeo-Christian G-d - the Pledge happens to be an important component of citizenship.

Despite that it is a hundred years old and the original included a hand salute exactly how Nazis did their salute. Then it was modified to have God in it.

Not that I am saying it should be banned but it shouldn't be forced on people just because adults even myself had to do it.

Yes, after the fact. Saying that it was a Nazi salute when it was adopted is wrong... there was no Nazi salute at the time.

The people who made the Pledge of Allegiance did Nazi that coming.
