Anybody seen the trailers for this? It looks like it might be good...

And I found this pic of the mystery monster!

Never even realised it existed. I think I may go see it just for the monster, though. :)

I saw it when Transformers was in theaters. They hadn't even named the movie yet. It was just the unnamed project. I thought it was called Bad Robot until I looked it up on Wikipedia. That trailer looks awesome. Is that the monster thing? It wasn't shown in the trailor. It looks like a cross between a crab and a whale. That's awesome.

The format of the movie is a cool direction to go for a monster flick, IMO. I think it's going to rock.

Cloverfield will also feature the first teaser trailer for Star Trek XI, so there's an added bonus to go see it.

Yup, I'll definitely be seing that.

And is it just me, or did the directors steal nBSG's 'shaky cam' method of filming? :)

I have no idea what that is. I thought they stole it from the Blair Witch Project(although I've never seen that so...). Could you imagine finding that video 10 years later. It'd be like when you start watching you tape of the high school prom only to find your parents on it(you know what I'm talking about) but without the 2 years of therapy afterwards.

That certainly does look like an interesting take...

And "shaky can" camera FX have been around long before nBSG... IIRC, they began to be in vogue in the early 1980's.

True, but nBSG seems to be the only thing doing it, lately.
