An excellent point was made is what if this new character is as epic as we could think but a the end he is a minion of Khan. A man who Kirk cannot face alone without someone dying.

Why not? Someone found the Botany Bay, Khan took over, went to Earth under an assumed identity and tried to take over again from within. Or just destroy earth.

I read on CG Society I think that they actually did write new physical simulation software to give the Enterprise and other debris a more realistic feel.
