[SOLVED]Getting audio from the xbox 360 via headphones?

Let me explain, since the title isn't that clear..
I'd like to play the xbox 360 via my monitor, however my current monitor has no sound equipment (speakers, headphone jack etc).
I hook up to the xbox with a DVI-HDMI converter.
Obviously this setup allows me to get video but not audio.
However I've been wondering if i could possibly just use some kind of RCA Y cable or female-female coupler to allow me to connect my headphones to the audio part of the RCA analog cable?
Video would still (I hope) go through the DVI-HDMI cable.
