This is the official Sign-Up thread for Beta 2.0. The Rules can be found in the Rules Thread.

New and Returning Players are all welcome. Ideally I'd like to have 8+ players, however I can make it work with 7, or 6 with some loss of functionality.

There was some delegation in the OOC thread; however nothing is final until I get a full player count and assign the positions.

You could play as somebody.

I've thought about it, but generally I think it's just a bad idea, and experiences in Beta1.0 solidified that opinion for me. As much as I try, when I play a race as the GM one of two outcomes will inherently happen: either A) I'll mostly ignore them and they'll just sit there with little to no advancement accruing cash and resources, or B) I'll try to play them honestly but frankly just having the knowledge of what everyone else is doing changes the way they get played from someone who doesn't......it'd be better if we just lost the little bit of functionality from those 1-2 players than have me start playing them.

Plus no real internal grumbles about the use of force. I had fun with the KE, twice as a player and once as an adviser.

Being able to play race that just doesn't give a shit and conquers things anyway is always a bonus
