Malwarebytes Error
Each time I try to run Malwarebyes on my Laptop, I get "vbAccelerator SGrid II Control: runtime error 0" followed by "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: runtime error 440 -- Automation Error" -- any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Malwarebytes Error
I don't know with that exact error, but try restarting the computer in safe mode and then running Malwarebytes again

Re: Malwarebytes Error
How do I get to safe mode again? My device does not seem to offer "Reboot in Safe mode" so I assume I hit something in the start-up sequence?

Re: Malwarebytes Error
It should be F8 on boot up and it'll be an option.

Re: Malwarebytes Error
No dice. The same error appeared, and Norton spent 2hrs(ish) "preparing for scan" in safe mode, rather than actually scanning.

Re: Malwarebytes Error
Try uninstalling Malwarebytes and then reinstalling it.

Re: Malwarebytes Error
If it helps, it happened after I tried to run a scan using MalwareBytes from a flash drive.
Edit: Reinstalled. Alright, let's see how this goes.

Re: Malwarebytes Error
I blame Norton. Even if its not Norton's fault... it is. Cause Norton is always to blame.

Re: Malwarebytes Error
Well, generally it's only Nortons fault if Norton is trying to run. Mostly because it burns through RAM so much, it makes it very hard to do much of anything.
