I actually have seen Brassed Off, and quite enjoyed it.

I went and checked out his film history on imdb & his last film listed sounded the most interesting Killing Bono

The only time I've ever needed subtitles for English was while watching part of a Beeb documentary involving old-timers from East Anglia. Even other Brits couldn't understand them.
