Dude Replicates TMP Enterprise As A Plastic Model
I stumbled across this the other day:
http://showcase.netins.net/web/marc111c ... _WIP_1.htm
A conversion of the 1/350 Polar Lights kit.
Some highlights:
Shuttle/Cargo Bay:
The Garden:
The Rec Deck:
The officers lounge:
This goes above the call of duty for the average modeller.

Wow, those are really good.

I love the attention to detail.

As a modeler, I take my hat off to him. Far beyond anything I could do.

Nice!
Though the TOS shutle looks a bit off.

Well, if he was going for STRICT cannon from TMP then it matters. If he's taking some liscense which I'm totally ok with, then its no big deal.

The TMP era wasn't too long after the TOS era. I've no problem with imagining that some of the TOS shuttles were still in service a decade or so later.

The website says he's going w/ a bit of license. I forget the exact reasoning but he figured there's no reason all of the shuttles would be updated by then.Mark wrote:Well, if he was going for STRICT cannon from TMP then it matters. His money, his model, I guess.
Retiring shuttles shouldn't be instanteous so I guess this would be common to have the newest shuttle and the preceding shuttles at the same time.
I don't mind it.

In the special edition of TMP, there's a TOS shuttle seen taking off from the air tram facility, you can just see it top right.
