From ignDecember 14, 2009 - The long-running Stargate franchise will keep on trucking. Syfy has greenlit production on Season 2 of Stargate Universe. The third ongoing Stargate series, SGU premiered this fall and is currently about half way through its first season.

I must admit I was worried about the reception of the "slow" start to the show but it does seem to be working itself up to something good. Obviously the company execs know we have something to look forward to at the end of season to keep people interested.
Then again Enterprise lasted for a few series....
